Mark S. Drobny Mark S. Drobny was born and raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1977 (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and General Sciences), UOP McGeorge Law School in 1980 (J.D.) and 1981 (LL.M-Taxation). He is a California State Bar Certified Specialist, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, The State Bar of California of Legal Specialization. He is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Estate Planning and is a member of the California State Bar, American Bar Association and Sacramento County Bar. He was sworn in to the United States Supreme Court before all nine Justices on June 9, 2003, in Washington D.C. Mark has served on the boards of most major Northern California charities, including The American Cancer Society, The American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Boy Scouts of America, Sutter Hospitals Foundation, Stanford Settlement, St. Hope Academy, McGeorge School of Law and California State University, Sacramento Foundation and is co-chair of California State University Sacramento’s Endowment Committee. Mark has formed or chaired the planned giving committees for many major Northern California charities and is widely regarded as one of the region’s top experts on Charitable Remainder Trusts and other Planned Giving concepts. Mark has been a member of The Sacramento Estate Planning Council since 1982, was the founding editor of their monthly newsletter, a member of their Board of Directors for eight years, and President in 1992 and 1993. Mark has practiced law for over 30 years, and founded DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. in 1989. He limits his practice to Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, Business Planning and Taxation, and has offices in Sacramento, Stockton and San Ramon. Mark has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Sacramento Superior Court’s Probate division for over 15 years. Mark S. Colin T. SmithColin Smith is an associate attorney with Drobny Law Offices, Inc. He earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2006, where he was awarded the Trustees Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement and graduated cum laude. After law school, Mr. Smith earned his LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. While earning his degree he also participated in four years of varsity football, winning two Ivy League championships. Mr. Smith is a member of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council and a member of Sacramento Active 20/30, which provides charitable fund raising and activities for children. Juliette T. Robertson
Juliette T. Robertson is an associate attorney with Drobny Law Offices, Inc. She earned her JD from Pacific-McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, CA. in 2006, where she received Honors in Trial Advocacy. Prior to joining Drobny Law Offices, Inc., Juliette was an associate attorney with the health care team at a leading, local litigation firm. Prior to attending law school Juliette grew up in the central coast area, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Masters of Public Health degree from Boston University. She has personal experience working with non-profit groups, underserved communities and metropolitan health care centers. Juliette is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and in her free time she enjoys watching Boston sports teams, travel, baking, and raising her dachshund and boxer, Frank and Zoey.

Emily A. Foehr
Emily A. Foehr is an associate attorney with Drobny Law Offices, Inc. She earned her JD from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California in 2010, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and received the Witkin Award for Taxation of Partnership and S Corporations. Prior to joining Drobny Law Offices, Inc., Emily worked as an extern for Judge John A. Mendez of the United States District Court during her spring semester 2010. Prior to attending law school, Emily received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Emily grew up in Marin County, California. Emily is a member of the California Young Lawyers Association and in her free time she enjoys watching Georgetown Hoyas basketball, the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants, travelling, playing all sports, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle GlennMichelle Glenn is a Legal Assistant in the Estate Planning Department and Billing Administrator of DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. Michelle drafts Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for Financial Management and Advance Health Care Directives and assists our clients in keeping their documents up-to-date through Amendments. Michelle received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2004 and her Paralegal Certification from MTI, an approved ABA educational facility, in 2006. Tracy Wilson
Tracy Wilson is a legal assistant with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. focusing on Probate, Estate Administration, and Conservatorships.
In 2003, Tracy completed the American Bar Association’s accredited program at the College of the Sequoias, earning her paralegal certificate and Associate’s Degree as well as receiving the Outstanding Legal Research and Writing Award for the year.
As a paralegal at a highly respected law firm in her hometown of Visalia, Tracy gained valuable knowledge and experience in the areas of elder law, estate planning and administration, real estate transactions, business formation and business litigation. Tracy has served as a continuing legal education presenter and is a member of the Sacramento Valley Paralegal Association.
Having recently relocated to Sacramento with her husband, Tracy looks forward to discovering all that Sacramento has to offer.

Ann von Platen
Ann von Platen is a Legal Assistant with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. assisting clients in the Trust Administration department. Ann grew up in Southern California and earned her Bachelor of Art in Sociology at UC Berkeley in 1977. Settling in the San Francisco Bay Area, while raising her two sons, she worked as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant in the estate planning department of a prestigious Burlingame law firm and had the opportunity to work with attorneys and clients in various areas of practice (i.e. corporate, taxation, healthcare, and employment law).
In 2003, after her younger son graduated from high school and left for college, Ann relocated to the Sacramento area. Until last December, Ann was an executive assistant with a local commercial real estate firm.
In January 2009, Ann had the opportunity to return to a personal service position in Trust Administration with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC..
When she is not spending time with her sons and new daughter-in-law, Ann enjoys gardening, sewing, reading, dining out with friends and weekend trips to the San Francisco Bay Area, Carmel and Redding to visit family and friends.

Kymberlee GrahamKymberlee was born and raised in Auburn, CA. She has lived in many places to experience many new and exciting places to live, but was eventually drawn back to Northern CA. She has worked in customer service her entire career. She has been a Paralegal since 2005. She has worked in Personal Injury Law, Litigation, and Estate Planning. Gloriela loves to be involved in charity work especially when it involves children. She has served as Chair for Charitable Projects as a member of Sacramento Legal Secretaries Association. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Monique Mitchell
Monique Mitchell is one of our Legal Assistants in the Estate Planning/Transfer Department. She provides assistance to our estate planning clients with the funding of their Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts by working closely with our clients' financial advisors, insurance agents and with the County Recorders Offices. From Oakland, California, Monique attended San Francisco State University, where she received her Associates degree in Electronic Communications and her Adobe Certification. She worked for a regarded estate planning/tax attorney in San Francisco and developed extensive experience in co-mingling working in law with her love for computers. Her continued studies brought her to Sacramento in 2009, where she received her CIS Ð Networking Certification. In her spare time, Monique enjoys watching the 49ers and Warriors, traveling, visits to the Bay Area and spending time with her niece.

Billy Vi is one of our File Clerks here at Drobny Law Offices. Born and raised in Sacramento, Billy received his BAS in Economics and Biological Sciences from UC Davis in 2010. In his path of continued education, Billy is studying for his AA in Accounting in hopes of becoming a CPA. Being highly active, he enjoys snowboarding, gym time, playing basketball and tennis. Additionally, Billy is an avid Kings and 49ers fan.

Born in the Bay area, Annalisa moved here in grade school. She has a career in office administration for a number of years and enjoys being a part of the Drobny team.
