Mark S. Drobny Mark S. Drobny was born and raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1977 (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and General Sciences), UOP McGeorge Law School in 1980 (J.D.) and 1981 (L.L.M. - Taxation). He is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Estate Planning and is a member of the California State Bar, American Bar Association and Sacramento County Bar. He was sworn in to the United States Supreme Court before all nine Justices on June 9, 2003, in Washington D.C. Mark has served on the boards of most major Northern California charities, including The American Cancer Society, The American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Boy Scouts of America, Sutter Hospitals Foundation, Stanford Settlement, St. Hope Academy, McGeorge School of Law and California State University, Sacramento Foundation and is co-chair of California State University Sacramento’s Endowment Committee. Mark has formed or chaired the planned giving committees for many major Northern California charities and is widely regarded as one of the regions top experts on Charitable Remainder Trusts and other Planned Giving concepts. Mark has been a member of The Sacramento Estate Planning Council since 1982, was the founding editor of their monthly newsletter, a member of their Board of Directors for eight years, and President in 1992 and 1993. Mark has practiced law for over 30 years, and founded DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. in 1989. He limits his practice to Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, Business Planning and Taxation, and has offices in Sacramento, Stockton and San Ramon. Mark has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Sacramento Superior Court’s Probate division for over 15 years. Mark S. Colin T. SmithColin Smith is an associate attorney with Drobny Law Offices, Inc. He earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2006, where he was awarded the Trustees Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement and graduated cum laude. After law school, Mr. Smith earned his LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Smith received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. While earning his degree he also participated in four years of varsity football, winning two Ivy League championships. Mr. Smith is a member of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council and a member of Sacramento Active 20/30, which provides charitable fund raising and activities for children. Janeé Davis
Janeé Davis is a Legal Assistant with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC., in the Estate Planning/Transfer Department. She began her career in the legal field in early 2003, in the litigation department of a Central Valley firm. She assisted in heavy litigation matters ranging from toxic mold cases to contract disputes. In 2005, she received her degree in Paralegal Studies, and decided to change her direction. She began working in the estate planning department in a prominent estate planning firm in the Central Valley. Janee assists our estate planning clients with the funding of their Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts by working closely with our clients' financial advisors, insurance agents and with the County Recorders Offices. She assists with establishing and funding Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, Limited Partnerships and Family Limited Partnerships.
Janeé enjoys spending time with her family, long bike rides, and weekend trips to the beach.

Michelle Glenn
Michelle Glenn is the Personal Assistant to Mark S. Drobny and a Legal Assistant in the Estate Planning Department of DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC.
Michelle drafts Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for Financial Management and Advance Health Care Directives and assists clients in keeping their documents up-to-date through Amendments.
Michelle received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2004. After moving to the Sacramento area in 2006, Michelle received her Paralegal Certification from MTI, an approved ABA educational facility.
After graduating from MTI, she began her career in Estate Planning and Administration.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and family, playing with her Jack Russell Terrier, quilting, reading, trying out new restaurants with friends, and watching Kevin Martin play for the Sacramento Kings!

Joni Mrozinski
Joni is a Legal Assistant with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. focusing on Estate Administration, Conservatorship and Probate matters. She also provides backup assistance to our Billing/Accounting Administrator as needed. Joni grew up in Sacramento, California where she received her Legal Secretarial Certificate from the Sawyer Business College in 1984. Joni held the esteemed designation of "California Certified Legal Secretary" from March 1992 through March 2001. Joni has more than 18 years legal experience of which she spent over 5 years working directly as a Probate Legal Assistant / Billing Clerk in a prestigious Sacramento firm. Joni is a founding member of The Capitol City Legal Secretaries Association (now known as The Capitol City Legal Professionals Association) having served a number of years as its Program Chairman, Career Promotion/Scholarship Chairman and a member of the Budget & Audit Committees. Joni enjoys spending time with her two sons and their families, her daughter, and grandson who was born on her birthday. She also enjoys frequent trips to the Oregon Coast.

Tracy Wilson
Tracy Wilson is a legal assistant with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. focusing on Probate, Estate Administration, and Conservatorships.
In 2003, Tracy completed the American Bar Association’s accredited program at the College of the Sequoias, earning her paralegal certificate and Associate’s Degree as well as receiving the Outstanding Legal Research and Writing Award for the year.
As a paralegal at a highly respected law firm in her hometown of Visalia, Tracy gained valuable knowledge and experience in the areas of elder law, estate planning and administration, real estate transactions, business formation and business litigation. Tracy has served as a continuing legal education presenter and is a member of the Sacramento Valley Paralegal Association.
Having recently relocated to Sacramento with her husband, Tracy looks forward to discovering all that Sacramento has to offer.

Ann von Platen
Ann von Platen is a Legal Assistant with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC. assisting clients in the Trust Administration department. Ann grew up in Southern California and earned her Bachelor of Art in Sociology at UC Berkeley in 1977. Settling in the San Francisco Bay Area, while raising her two sons, she worked as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant in the estate planning department of a prestigious Burlingame law firm and had the opportunity to work with attorneys and clients in various areas of practice (i.e. corporate, taxation, healthcare, and employment law).
In 2003, after her younger son graduated from high school and left for college, Ann relocated to the Sacramento area. Until last December, Ann was an executive assistant with a local commercial real estate firm.
In January 2009, Ann had the opportunity to return to a personal service position in Trust Administration with DROBNY LAW OFFICES, INC..
When she is not spending time with her sons and new daughter-in-law, Ann enjoys gardening, sewing, reading, dining out with friends and weekend trips to the San Francisco Bay Area, Carmel and Redding to visit family and friends.
